In case anyone ever forgot who was the mistress of seduction scenes, they only have to read the first two chapters of this release to remember that the queen of seduction is Howard. Who else could make a terrifying hit man one of the most erotic, compelling heroes ever? Drea Rousseau is a calculated arm candy for a scum bag drug dealer Rafael Salinas. She thinks she has everything under control--stick with the slime ball till she has enough money to disappear and live the life she has only dreamed of. Unfortunately, Rafael needs a big favor from a contract killer, and the contract killer has a price: Drea The Hitchcockean thriller that ensues with Drea on the run from the very man who rocked her world is tense and totally absorbing. Despite the jarring sidetrack into fantasy this is a well-crafted, engrossing entry by Howard. If she could only include more of her wonderful love scenes in her later novels, we would die happy.
