And the moral of the story is ………..

I got married at the age of 38 so it is safe to say that I kissed a lot of frogs before I found the prince. One that comes to mind is a guy that I met over the phone. I was visiting my cousin and while she was at work he called. We had a great conversation and really seemed to hit it off. He asked me out promising to show me around the city. My cousin assured me he was a nice guy. Well, the night of my date it took me two hours to get dressed. You can tell I had not been on a date for a while. He picked me up and I could kind of sense that he was not happy at what he saw. We drove around in silence for 5 minutes (it seemed like a lifetime). He finally said you know I can’t take you out. I looked very puzzled and asked him Why? He said you are not my type and I just can’t be caught with someone like you. I asked if he would take me home and I politely thanked him as I headed for the door. I knew what he meant. You see I was about 50 pounds overweight. But the good thing that came out of it was I immediately went on a diet and exercise program and lost 73 pounds. Yes, that night was the worst yet best night of my life. The morale of the story, when given lemons make lemonade (preferably with Sweet and Low).
