Last year my husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. To be honest I was not expecting much as John was working in Vancouver for a period of time and was not home very often. Having two teenagers still at home and one in NYC, we usually celebrate at home in style…However, on our anniversary my lovely guy arranged that our son and his girlfriend would fly out to join us for a dinner out and then presented me with ticket to Mexico for the next day! I was speechless – he had arranged with my Boss that I take the week off – I could not take the grin off my face for the week and still smile at the lovely memories we created.

It reminds me that surprises and keeping love fresh even going through some ups and downs is what it is all about. Now I would like to surprise him back with a mini getaway 🙂
