What boxing can lead to

Though dating only a few months, we knew we’d marry. When, where and how were still unsolved mysteries.

A dear friend of mine was getting married in a few weeks, and I was really excited about it. But, right before that day, my boyfriend developed MONONUCLEOSIS. I was DEVASTATED; if HE couldn’t go with me, I didn’t want to go.

My father took me to his house to visit him in his hour of need. My guy was in bed, and told me to sit in the chair across the room (so I wouldn’t catch MONO). As soon as I was seated, he said that he’d something for me, and then threw a GIGANTIC BOX across the bed to me.

Upon opening the GIGANTIC box, I found a BIG box. I opened the BIG box and found a smaller box. I continued opening box after box until I came the smallest one a small black velvet box. Very nervously, I slowly opened this black velvet box and inside was a DIAMOND ENGAGEMENT RING!

I looked up at him, with tears in my eyes, and before he could ask me, I said YES, I WILL MARRY YOU!

He smiled that sweet, grinning smile of his and said I WANT you to GO to the wedding, but I want all of those guys to know that you’re OFFICIALLY ENGAGED.. TO ME!

Now wasn’t that ROMANTIC? I thought so…And it obviously worked like a charm, because on St. Patrick’s Day, we are going to celebrate our 33rd WEDDING ANNIVERSARY!
