I was laid off in 2003. I went to the Showboat Casino in Atlantic City with my friend. We were there for a while. We separated and went our own ways. Later, I went to find her. I turned a corner. There she was. Sitting beside her was this beautiful man. I sat down. We talked. We all went to dinner.

On Valentine’s Day, 2004, we were married at the same casino we met in. They did not do wedding ceremonies, so we were married in a room with my daughter, her husband, the justice of the peace, my husband, and myself. After the ceremony, we all went to eat. We go to the showboat every year for our anniversary.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY. I will never forget.
