In September of 1996, I ran an ad in a local personals section of a weekly sales periodical and figured I had nothing to lose. On October 11, 1996, I had 3 responses. I called the first one and we talked more than two hours on phone cards. I never knew who the other two were as I immediately knew I had found the love of my life that night. We talked for four nights every week and met in person in November. We shared Thanksgiving dinner with her family and were married six weeks later on her birthday. On January 30th, 2007 Sue Ellen and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary!
